Capabilities

From spinner to first-quality goods.

Three operations, one roof, zero hand-offs.

01 · Source

Yarn from around the world.

We source from the origin that does each fiber best — long-staple cottons, cellulosics and technical synthetics, landed and checked before they meet a needle.

  • Combed & ring-spun cottons
  • Modal, micromodal & lyocell
  • Poly, recycled poly & spandex cores
02 · Knit

Circular knitting, tuned per stitch.

Single and double knits across gauges and diameters — engineered to your hand, weight and recovery targets, inspected on the frame.

  • Fine to heavy gauge
  • Solids, stripes & jacquard
  • Lab swatch to bulk
03 · Dye & Finish

Dyed and finished in Los Angeles.

Lab dips approved against your standard, dyed with lot-to-lot shade control your cutter can trust, then compacted, brushed and finished to the hand your samples promised.

  • Lab-dip approval workflow
  • Compaction & shrinkage control
  • Brushing, napping & specialty hands
The Fabric Library

Knits for every market.
And every brief.

A working library of constructions we run — each developable in your fiber, weight and shade.

SINGLE KNIT

Cotton Jersey

The everyday hero — tees, dresses, layering.

1×1 · 2×2

Rib

Recovery and cling — trims, tanks, body-con.

LOOPBACK

French Terry

Soft face, looped back — loungewear’s favorite.

BRUSHED

Fleece

Napped and cozy — hoodies, sweats, outerwear.

DOUBLE KNIT

Interlock

Smooth both faces — polos, premium basics.

THERMAL

Waffle

Texture that traps warmth — henleys, layering.

OPENWORK

Pointelle

Delicate transfer-stitch detail — intimates, baby.

PATTERNED

Jacquard

Pattern knitted in, not printed on.

Super-soft basics, novelty knits, stripes and beyond — bring us the reference and we’ll knit the match.

Global sourcing

The world spins.
Los Angeles knits.

Fiber has a geography — the best of each kind comes from somewhere specific. We keep relationships with spinners across four continents, so your fabric starts with the right yarn, not the available one.

  • AmericasUS & Peruvian long-staple cottons
  • Europe & Türkiyecombed cottons, premium ring-spun
  • Asiatechnical synthetics, modal & lyocell

How a program runs

Lab dip to delivery, minus the ocean.

01

Develop

Bring a swatch, a spec, or a garment you wish existed. We engineer the construction — fiber, gauge, weight, stretch — and knit development yardage you can actually sew.

02

Knit

Greige goods knit on-site, inspected on the frame. Because the machines are ours, tweaking a stitch doesn’t cost you a season.

03

Dye

Lab dips approved against your standard, then dyed in Los Angeles with lot-to-lot shade control your cutter will thank you for.

04

Finish

Compaction for shrinkage, brushing for hand, and the specialty finishes that separate a fabric from a commodity.

05

Deliver

First-quality rolls, inspected and tagged, trucked across town — not shipped across an ocean. Fast delivery of knit-to-order fabric is the specialty of the house.

Why domestic

What you get back when the mill is 20 minutes away.

Weeks, not seasons

Development and re-knits turn in days. No booking vessels, no waiting at the port.

QC you can visit

Walk the floor, touch the greige, approve the lab dip in person. That is not possible overseas.

Your IP stays yours

Proprietary constructions and colorways developed here don’t wander into other lines.

Sane minimums

Programs sized for contemporary brands — emerging and scaling alike.

“Made in USA,” truly

Knit, dyed and finished stateside — a claim your hangtag can make accurately.

Fewer miles, less waste

Fabric that travels across a county, not a hemisphere — re-knits instead of over-orders.

Since 2003
“Everyone said domestic textile manufacturing was finished.
We disagreed.”

Vertex International Inc. was founded in 2003 to make fashion-forward knits at wholesale — fast. Twenty years on, the case for a Los Angeles mill has never been stronger: brands want speed, designers want a development partner, and compliance teams want a supply chain they can actually walk through.

We source yarn from the spinners who do each fiber best, then do the part that defines the fabric ourselves — knitting, dyeing and finishing, all in Los Angeles, minutes from the people who cut and sew it.
